VIZAMYL PET/CT SCANS
Vizamyl scan is a PET/CT brain scan used to evaluate amyloid plaque in adults with cognitive impairment who are being evaluated for Alzheimer’s disease or other causes of cognitive decline. Vizamyl PET imaging can identify beta amyloid plaques as soon as cognitive symptoms are evident, enabling early detection and intervention. Vizamyl is the only FDA approved amyloid imaging agent for color image interpretation. Colored images better assist in differentiating images negative for amyloid plaque from images positive for amyloid plaque load.
